More Milk Cookies Review

It’s no secret and I’ve talked about it a few times before – I’ve struggled majorly with breast milk supply issues since having Eli. Ava was a breeze, I had an abundance of milk. Too much in fact. But with Eli, it has been a different story. It’s been a rocky road and it still is quite often but next month marks 2 years breastfed. I am over joyed with how far we have come and how much effort and determination we both have put into our breastfeeding journey.

But, as I’m sure a lot of you will understand when you don’t have that great of a milk flow you try to boost your supply using other alternatives. I feel like I have tried everything under the sun to boost my supply. Some things have worked, lots of things have not. One thing though has changed the game for me, and it’s in the form of a cookie. But not just any cookie – a delicious chocolate chip cookie with super powers!

More Milk Cookies was founded by Grace, a Mum of three from Tauranga. She started her business only 7 weeks after giving birth to her youngest as she was struggling with supply issues herself. She didn’t have time to pump all day and like me wasn’t impressed with the supply boosting options already on the market. She then put on her baking hat and created a lactation cookie that not only tastes so delicious but does the job too!

I’ve been trialing these cookies for a week now and my goodness what a milky week it has been. For the first 3 days I had 2 cookies a day. One around lunch time and the other at night with a cup of tea. The first 2 days I didn’t find much of a change but could feel my boobs getting a little fuller, kind of a bloated feeling but in your boobs. By day 3 I  actually started leaking. Not a massive amount but it was such a bizarre thing because I have not had this at all with Eli. I also found that Eli was not feeding for as long as he usually does, 5 mins max and he was happy to hop off and continue to play whereas usually, he would feed for about 15-20 minutes trying hard to get out the liquid gold. I then decided to cut back the cookies to one a day to see what would happen and it’s been great ever since. I’ve had such a good milk flow. Quick feeds and not feeling empty like usual, it’s been great.

There are three delicious flavours to try –

Chocolate Chip – $19.95

White Chocolate Macadamia – $21.95

Gluten Free Date and Coconut – $21.95

Each box comes with 12 individually wrapped delicious cookies.

How good?! So good!

I’m not sure how long I’ll continue to breastfeed Eli for. I might wean him in the new year but for now we are content with how things are and I couldn’t be happier.
